An Evening of Local History and Community Connection

FOCUS’ Citizens Academy Alumni Network warmly invited the community to our March Mix & Mingle designed to bring community members together around conversation, connection, and civic engagement!

This special evening was generously sponsored by the Landmark Theatre, whose support allowed attendees to gather in one of downtown Syracuse’s most iconic spaces!

The program featured a historical presentation by Robert Searing, Curator of History at the Onondaga Historical Association, who offered insight into the Landmark Theatre’s past and its role in our community!

Optional: Pre-Event Historic Theatre Tours (Paid)

4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.

Step behind the scenes of the Landmark Theatre and explore the history, architecture, and stories that have made this venue a cornerstone of downtown Syracuse! This guided tour offers insight into the theatre’s design, restoration, and role in the cultural life of the community, with access to areas not typically open to the public.

  • $12 per person
  • Two tour times: 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.
  • Approximately 1 hour each (same tour content)
  • Limited to 20 participants per tour; advance registration required

Important Tour Information

Guests must arrive and check in promptly for the tour time they selected at registration. Each tour begins on time, and late arrivals may not be accommodated due to capacity limits and building logistics. Please plan accordingly. Each tour lasts approximately one hour and provides the same experience for all participants. Tour tickets are non-refundable. Guests who do not arrive for the tour time selected at registration will not be eligible for a refund or transfer. This policy helps ensure fair access and accurate planning for this limited-capacity experience at the Landmark Theatre.

Tour Check-In

  • 4:30 p.m. tour: doors open at 4:15 p.m.
  • 4:45 p.m. tour: doors open at 4:15 p.m.
  • Non-tour attendees: doors open at 5:15 p.m.
