Sam Edelstein, Chief Data Officer for Syracuse, spoke about the technology aspects of the Syracuse Surge and what it means to be New York’s Flagship Smart City. Inclusive Growth is the theme of the proposal that made Syracuse one of five out of 250 cities to win the JP Morgan Chase Advancing Cities Challenge award in 2019.

Juhanna Rogers

Juhanna Rogers, Director of Community Engagement and Empowerment for Centerstate CEO, discussed the human side of the Syracuse Surge and the role of the JP Morgan Chase Advancing Cities Challenge grant in the city’s strategy for inclusive growth.

This year Syracuse punches above its weight in the competition with 250 other municipalities. The four other Advancing Cities communities for 2019 are Chicago, Louisville, Miami, and San Diego. You can learn more about the Surge and the award at this LINK.
